Who doesn’t remember ice breakers on the first day of school? Despite the nerves of the new comers, it always results in a new friend. This was one of my first assignments of the new school year and it definitely brought back memories of some of my first days! Here are some photos from the orientation activities last week with students from The Fletcher School at Tufts.
With Labor Day weekend marking the unofficial ‘end of summer,’ I figured this is the perfect opportunity to post this. A few weeks back I had a pretty cool assignment covering the Leadership Alliance summer program for Tufts. This nationwide Alliance is a collaborative program that provides research experiences for undergraduate students. That morning I captured undergraduate students from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. as they worked on research with Tufts graduate students.

I recently photographed newlyweds Grace and Alonso’s wedding on July 23, 2011. The couple tied the knot on the beautiful Tufts University Medford campus. Friends and family from all over witnessed a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony in Goddard Chapel and an amazing reception held at Winthrop Street Hall. All in all, it was a fabulous wedding for a great couple!
Grace and Alonso – thank you very much for letting me document your special day. I was truly honored to be a part of your celebration. Congratulations!
Here are a few of many favorites from their big day…
Tufts University Alumni Association recently hosted the 2011 Alumni Awards ceremony. These awards honor Alumni of Tufts whose distinguished accomplishments bring credit upon themselves, their communities, and their professions. It is the highest honor, which the Alumni Association can present. Here are a few scenes from the 2011 Alumni Awards, held on April 9, 2011.
Last January, I had the opportunity to photograph Tufts CTSI (Clinical and Translational Science Institute) investigators and community partners present findings from two research projects at the launch of the “Race: Are We So Different?” exhibit at the Boston Museum of Science on Martin Luther King Day. These projects aimed at improving community health and combating health disparities. The event was extremely interesting! I even learned a few things about the effects of highway pollution on the cardiovascular health of residents (myself included) in the Somerville/Medford area.
I recently photographed the Tufts University Dodgeball Tournament at the Chinatown YMCA. The tournament attracted about 160 medical and dental students from the Boston campus, making it very competitive and fun to photograph!
Here are a few quick images.
I found myself learning a lot about finance while shooting The Wall Street Crash Course for Tufts University. The course was an all day event where key Tufts alumni, who volunteered their time to help guide students into the world of finance. The keynote speakers, group lectures, and mock interview sessions were very motivating!
Here are some photos from the course.
